Long Term Hematopoietic Stem Cell Medium

Long-term hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) medium is developed to convert cord blood derived CD34+ HSCs to LT-HSCs expressing HSC signature markers such as Lin-CD34+CD38-CD45RA-CD90+. LT-HSC population shows a higher rate of self-renewal and the ability for long term repopulation in bone marrow niche, making it a promising candidate as a therapeutic for blood disorders and Leukemias.

Trailhead Biosystems LT-HSC medium was developed by screening more than 50 compounds by using HD-DoE technology, making it possible to explore the hematopoiesis space and identifying required compounds for optimization of LT-HSC specific genes and maintenance of multipotential state with minimal expression of HSC lineage biased markers.
