Serological Assays for SARS-CoV-2

University of Arizona researchers have developed a serological assay to test for prior exposure to SARS-CoV-2


In November of 2019, a novel coronavirus appeared in Wuhan, China. Since that time, this virus has spread worldwide. It has impacted everything from individuals lives to the worldwide economy.

The virus affected many individuals in different ways. There have been individuals with severe symptoms, leading to hospitalization or death, and there have been patients who have not experienced any symptoms at all. This has led to many people wondering if they have been exposed to the virus and developed immunity. This serological test intends to be the most accurate in helping someone determine if they have developed immunity.
