DiRAP (Disease Risk Analysis App)

App to determine an individual’s risk of developing a severe outcome if they become infected by SARS-CoV-2 to contain the spread of COVID-19

Technology Overview

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, researchers at the University of Calgary Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering and Cummings School of Medicine collaborated to create an app that would determine an individual’s risk of developing a severe outcome if they become infected by SARS-CoV-2. This app can be used by individuals, organizations, or even cities and countries, as part of their efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 while slowly returning to normal operations. The app can produce the following metrics:

  • Percentage of individuals/employees eligible for work in the office
  • Timeline for reopening
  • Overview analytics for a group of individuals/employees
  • Strategic Isolation Plan for Companies/Organizations/Cities/Countries
